Caring for a loved one requires support, understanding, affection and dedication. The Family Caregiver Blog offers a place for family caregivers (individuals, such as parents or heads of household, who attend to the needs of a child or dependent adult, such as an elderly parent or ill spouse) to lean on and learn from one another – through ups and downs, struggles and victories.
The Family Caregiver Blog is hosted by Homewatch CareGivers. Founded in 1980, Homewatch CareGivers is the largest, most experienced international provider of full-service in-home care for people of all ages, including seniors, children, veterans, the chronically ill, and those recovering from medical procedures.
We invite you to visit the Homewatch CareGivers website, where you can read articles related to home health, Dementia Care Tips and home care news; or download PDF home care resources. From health care coordination and hospital discharge planning to home care transportation and daily living assistance, let our family of caregivers care for yours.

Blog Submission Guidelines
The following information outlines our guidelines for guest bloggers. If you are passionate about caregiving, have a good story to tell, and are interested in being featured on our blog, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Guest blogs may consist of…
1. Original content produced by the guest blogger, with an introduction from Homewatch CareGivers.
2. Re-purposed content produced by the guest blogger, with an introduction from Homewatch CareGivers.
3. A telephone interview, conducted and written by our editorial team.
Guest blogs should be 650-800 words in length.
Our goal is to share personal and inspirational care giving experiences – and knowledge – from family caregivers and industry experts. The Family CareGiver Blog is written by caregivers, for caregivers – aimed at providing support and helpful information to those who need it. Please be sure to read previous posts before submitting a guest blog, in order to better understand what we’re striving for.
Guest bloggers should include a full bio and appropriate photo along with the submission. Homewatch CareGivers reserves the right to edit all content before publishing. When extensive edits are made, we will provide an opportunity for contributor feedback before the post goes live.
Interaction and Promotion
Blogs are interactive by nature, and we encourage our guests to respond to reader comments as they arise. If the guest is not available to respond to blog posts, please let us know ahead of time so we can be prepared to respond to any comments to your blog.
Each guest blogger is also encouraged to participate in blog promotions — by using professional/personal connections, social media, and other creative means to promote your posting on our blog.
