When Teresa McCoy cares for people, she doesn’t think about it, it’s automatic for her to be considerate and understanding.

“I’m a caregiver by heart. I’ve always cared for other people. It’s my niche and I think it’s the best thing in the world,” she said.

Teresa works for the Denver Homewatch CareGivers office. She began working with them in 2011, and recently earned Homewatch CareGivers National Caregiver of the Year Award for 2012. Homewatch CareGivers selected Teresa from among more than 5,000 caregivers, who provide more than 4.8 million care hours around the world.

As she always does, Teresa goes above and beyond every day in the care she provides for others. This is especially clear when you hear the story of Jo and Blair.
